SWB
Studios is proud to offer another rare item of Shelby memorabilia!
Once again, we have produced a special art piece to be presented to the former
employees of Shelby American at their reunion. These prints commemorate the 40th
anniversary of Shelby American winning the FIA Manufacturer’s World
Championship. They are 11” X 17” in size, hand signed and numbered by the
artist, and printed in full color. This wonderfully detailed artwork depicts
the #26 Daytona Coupe (driven by Bondurant/Schlesser) as it takes the GT class
win, securing the championship for Shelby. It also shows the other team Daytona Coupe
(#27 driven by Sears/Whitmore) as it crosses the line with its teammate. The print also shows Sir John Whitmore in
the #21 FIA Cobra, in full opposite Lock, as he powers to the GT win at the
RAC Tourist Trophy at Oulton Park. Finally, this special print lists all of the
courses that Shelby American competed at in 1965 on their way to an
unprecedented championship. By its very nature, this is a rare piece.
The extremely limited numbered prints were only presented to former Shelby
employees at their reunion. We also had a few Artist Proofs printed that were
available at the reunion. We are now offering the last few prints on the SWB
website. Additionally, we have one of the numbered
prints only presented to employees, for sale. Our last Shelby Commemorative
print is sold out and when one of these rare prints becomes available it sells
for 2 or 3 times our original price.
